Online IELTS Preparation that focuses on the marks
Most students who miss their band do not lack English. They lose marks on technique, timing and task response. So we do two things: build the language in a small group class, and fix the exam technique one to one — where it actually works.

- Group classes from £45 a month
- One-to-one coaching from £160
- Academic and General Training
- All four skills covered
An honest word before you book
IELTS preparation works best from around B1–B2. Below that, the exam techniques have nothing to sit on and you will get more from General English first. Take the free level test and we will tell you which you need — including when the answer is the cheaper course.
What your one-to-one sessions cover
Group classes build the English. These sessions build the marks — and they are one to one because exam technique is where individual attention pays for itself.
Catching what matters
Prediction, signposting language, spelling and number traps, and how to recover when you lose your place instead of losing the whole section.
Speed and accuracy
Skimming and scanning under time pressure, paraphrase recognition, and the question types that cost most students marks — True/False/Not Given above all.
Structure that scores
Task 1 data description and Task 2 essay structure, with the coherence and lexical range the band descriptors actually reward. Regular marked practice.
Fluency under pressure
All three parts, the two-minute long turn, and how to extend an answer without padding. Live practice every week — the only way it improves.
Where you are, and where you could get to
A realistic guide. Progress depends on your starting point, your homework and how long you give yourself.
| Your level now | Typical current band | Realistic target | We recommend |
|---|---|---|---|
| A2 or below | under 4.0 | — | General English first |
| B1 | 4.0–4.5 | 5.5 | General English, then IELTS |
| B2 | 5.0–5.5 | 6.0–6.5 | IELTS Preparation |
| C1 | 6.0–7.0 | 7.0–7.5 | IELTS Preparation |
| C2 | 7.5+ | 8.0+ | IELTS Preparation or one-to-one |

Questions
If yours isn't here, message us on WhatsApp — we reply the same day.
Do you teach Academic or General Training?
Both. Tell us which you need when you enrol. Most of the technique is shared; the Writing Task 1 differs, and we cover the right one with you.
Do you book the exam for me?
No — you book directly with an official test centre, and we will explain how. We are a Trinity College SELT approved service provider, so if you need a SELT rather than IELTS, ask us and we will point you to the right test.
How long before my exam should I start?
Three months is comfortable for one band. If your test is in a few weeks, take the Intensive course and be realistic about the target — we would rather tell you the truth than sell you a miracle.
Why one-to-one rather than an IELTS class?
Because exam technique is individual. Your weakest paper is not your neighbour's, and an hour spent on your specific problem is worth several in a group covering everyone's. The group class builds your English; the coaching wins you the marks.
Do I have to take both parts?
No. Many students start with the group class and add coaching four to six weeks before their test. Some with strong English take coaching alone. Take the free level test and we will tell you honestly which you need.
Will I get my writing marked?
Yes, regularly, against the official band descriptors, with specific feedback on what would move you up. This is the single most useful thing about a taught course.
What if I am not ready for IELTS yet?
Then we will say so. The free level test tells you where you are, and if the answer is General English first, that is what we will recommend — it is also the cheaper course, so you can take that advice at face value.
Do I need a visa?
No. You study online from home, wherever you are.
Can I cancel?
Any time, with 14 days' notice. No cancellation fee.
